Joining St. Thomas More to Help with Jacobs Ladder

There is not anything more rewarding than helping those in need.

No matter how busy work and life gets, it is important to take a break to help those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

In January 2017, a couple of team members, including John O’Hearne, joined up with St. Thomas More and the Knights of Columbus to travel to Jamaica to take part in the Jacobs Ladder program.

The mission was to assist the build of multiple houses for abandoned disabled people in Jamaica. Our team was able to spend a week aiding in various stages of construction as the leaders of the group from the parish of St. Thomas More in Narragansett, Rhode Island.

Throughout our time down there, we not only were able to spend time getting to know the people we were building homes for, but also build strong bonds with them. On multiple occasions, you could even see our team member Josh leading sing alongs with the whole community.

We are incredibly grateful to be able to contribute to Jacobs Ladder and be part of an experience that will never be forgotten. Below, you will be able to see some of the pictures from our time in Jamaica.
